Kalu Bardiya Baba: A unique confluence of kindness and power"**
From the pen of Naveen Singh Rana (Story based on folk tales heard by the author from his grandfather in his childhood)

Once upon a time, Kalu Bardiya Baba, a great saint of Rana Tharu society, was going towards his farm. His livelihood was mainly based on animal husbandry and farming, but due to his extraordinary powers, people worshiped him like a god.

That day when Kalu Bardiya Baba was filling water in his Dhimari* and going towards the field, he met a magician on the way. The magician thought of playing a prank and started spilling the water of the Dhimari with his magic. When Baba Ji reached his field, he saw that all the water had spilled. He felt very bad seeing this and he immediately understood that this was the handiwork of the magician.

With his divine sight he saw that the magician had beheaded his son and was involved in a magic show. Babaji captured the soul of the magician's son with his power. When the magician finished the show and saw that his son had not come back to life, he panicked. He remembered his Guru and the Guru advised him to apologize to Kalu Bardiya Baba, otherwise the consequences could be dire.

The crying magician reached Babaji and begged for forgiveness. Kalu Bardiya Baba, who was a kind and noble-hearted man, accepted his apology and freed the soul of the magician's son. The magician's son became alive again.

This incident taught the magician a deep lesson. He not only repented of his mischiefs but also understood the greatness and kindness of Babaji. Even today the Rana Tharu community worships Kalu Bardia Baba and remembers him before performing any task ,praying for his blessings.

The life of Kalu Bardiya Baba teaches us that true power and greatness lies not only in unique abilities but also in kindness, compassion and forgiveness. His life and his work continue to inspire people even today and his memories live on with respect and reverence in society.
Thank you
