Clouds of disaster and its prevention: A story based on events written in the current context

One day, Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh were on disaster management duty. It was a very dark night and it was raining heavily. Both were sitting in the control room and monitoring the surroundings of the village. This control room established by the government remained active to help during floods.
And it was imposed every year in which employees were put on duty at different times and they used to perform their duties very diligently.
Like every day, both of them were on duty, when Mohan heard a loud sound from the river. He felt that the water level of the river was suddenly rising. He immediately took up his torch and looked towards the river with Shyam. Due to heavy rain, the light of the torch was dim. When they went closer and looked in the light of the torch, they found that the water level of the river was rising rapidly and it seemed that it was slowly moving towards the village. Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh talked to each other and took an immediate decision and decided to inform the control room.

    Mohan immediately called the control room and informed them about the gravity of the situation. The control room assured immediate help. But Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh realized that there was very little time and it was important to alert the villagers immediately. If even a slight mistake was made, there could be huge loss of life and property, and the disaster team could take time to reach the village. Thinking this , Mohan and Shyam used their megaphone and started running around the village to wake everyone up. "There is a danger of flood! Everyone go to a safe place!" Hearing their voice, the villagers woke up and gathered their families and started collecting their most essential things.

    Shyam gave priority to children and the elderly and helped them reach a safe place. On the other hand, Mohan along with the village head and other responsible people made some temporary rescue plans. Everyone together filled sand in sacks and placed them on the banks of the river so that the flow of water could be reduced. All the youth of the village came forward and started helping in this work. There was trouble due to heavy rains but the trouble that was about to come could be even more terrible. Therefore, everyone was engaged in the work with full enthusiasm.

     Within no time, the disaster management team from the control room also reached the village. They immediately started rescue work and provided relief material to the villagers. With the help of the boats that came with them, the people trapped in the water were evacuated safely.

    Due to the promptness and bravery of Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh, all the people of the village remained safe. In a day or two, due to less rain, the flood water started receding and the situation came under control. The villagers praised Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh and thanked them.

     The village head said, "Due to the bravery and wisdom of Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh , we are all safe today. We should always remain alert and follow the advice of the disaster management team."

     This incident taught the children and elders of the village that any disaster can be faced with bravery, preparedness and unity in difficult times. The story of Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh became inspirational for everyone and the people of the village became more aware and cautious.

     In this way, Mohan Singh and Shyam Singh averted a major crisis with their courage and wisdom and taught everyone how important it is to take the right steps at the right time.
